Corry Staff is the owner and founder of Corry Staff Financial Group. She is a Certified Financial Planner and takes her regulatory requirement to “always do what is best for the client” very seriously. It is her primary focus in all her work as a Certified Financial Planner.

Corry works with her clients to help them realize their financial goals, whether it be saving for a new home or building wealth for retirement. Corry can help make your dreams come true.

Corry has worked as a Certified Financial Planner for almost 20 years. She is an accomplished expert in her field and focuses on Wealth Creation, Retirement and Estate Planning and Tax Mitigation. She is also very interested in helping to spread financial literacy, especially among women and younger clients. Years ago, through the creation of Cocktails and Cash™; Financial Parties for Women, Corry was able to have a monumental impact on the lives of hundreds of families. Financially literate women make for financially stable families. Corry believes wealth creation is not just personal, it is also generational.

In 2011, Corry found herself featured in a reality television series. She was one of three Certified Financial Planners to appear on screen and consult as a “money coach” in the series “Million Dollar Neighborhood” which aired on the Oprah Winfrey Network. The series was based on the premise of 100 families improving their net worth by one million dollars over the 12 weeks weekly episodes. Proving Corry’s long-term commitment, many of those “made for TV” clients are still with Corry Staff Financial Group today having formed loyal and long-lasting relationships long after the bright lights were dimmed, and the TV magic had ended.

Today, Corry is proud of the Financial Planning firm she has built. Corry Staff Financial Group is a team of five striving everyday to serve clients in the best way possible while empowering them to make good financial decisions. Corry Staff Financial group is dedicated to educating, advising, and guiding people through all areas of their finances while recognizing that everyone has different goals and differing levels of comfort with financial risk.

While Corry’s personal focus is on wealth accumulation, retirement, and estate planning. She has an extensive background in assisting clients experiencing marital breakdown and family crisis. Relationships with her clients based on empathy, education, guidance, and trust are the foundation of Corry’s practice.

Corry has been a Member of Advocis, the Financial Advisors Association of Canada since 2006 and is an active member of the Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC).

When Corry is not completely engulfed in her work for her clients she can be found at her jeweller’s bench. Corry is an avid amateur silver smith and jewellery creator.

Les Staff

Les joined Corry Staff Financial Group after a very successful and award-winning career in Television News. Over three decades, Les worked as a Reporter, Anchor, Executive Producer and most recently as the Director of News and Information at CTV News Vancouver.

Les brings to his new career in finance, a deep passion for helping people manage the most challenging situations in life. Having witnessed countless tragedies as a TV Journalist, Les has extensive experience with tragic events happening to everyday families in the most unexpected way. Today he embraces a strong desire to help mitigate the impacts of those tragic events before they happen rather than trying to learn and report about these horrible events after the tragedy has struck home.

“Risk mitigation and wealth creation using Life, Critical Illness and Disability Insurance is much more rewarding than my past work where I was compelled to contact families experiencing the most horrific tragedy.” says Les, adding “Now, I am there to really help! I have already witnessed how Life Insurance can greatly alleviate the impact of a major catastrophe on a family. Recently, I helped process a Life Insurance claim which allowed an elderly client to remain in her home of more than 50 years following the passing of her husband. Life Insurance provided our client with financial stability when she needed it most.”

Les is a Licenced Insurance Agent having achieved a 90 percent grade during his provincial regulatory and licencing requirements. He is motivated by a strong sense of ethics and regulatory compliance and has adopted the fiduciary responsibility of his partner Corry, a Certified Financial Planner, that demands the client’s best interest will always be the most important consideration in the solutions and products we offer. Les specializes in using insurance products to manage risk for families and income earners, to help insure income in the event of disability, and using insurance products to grow and transfer wealth between generations in a tax-free or very tax efficient way. Whether it is making sure the mortgage or rent gets paid, to creating a multi-million-dollar wealth transfer between family members, Les has a solution that will fit your need.

Les also has a deep connection to our community through his volunteer and philanthropic work. He is currently the longest serving member of the Board of Directors for the BC Women’s Health Foundation which supports BC Women’s Hospital and advocates for the health of women across our province. Les is most proud to have served on the “Hope Starts Here” fund raising Campaign Cabinet which raised $17 Million for a new Newborn Intensive Care Unit at BC Women’s Hospital. This is the provinces only “Level 4” NICU serving BC’s sickest and most at-risk newborns and their mothers. Les works hard to promote healthy women and healthy babies as a key part of bettering the society and community in which we live. Les also serves on the Board of Directors for two sporting bodies in our community including serving as President of the Port Coquitlam and District Hunting and Fishing Club. He is also a former member of the Greater Vancouver Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors and has served on the Board of Directors for Crime Stoppers.

Les is also very keen in helping our clients achieve their philanthropic goals. One of the best ways to ensure a legacy for charities is to use life insurance products to fund major gifts at end of life. A small investment, made over time, can have a huge impact later for those most in need in our community.
